Dear Harford County Council and County Executive Barry Glassman,
Harford County residents are taxed enough already.
But, despite Glassman proclaiming to be “holding the line on taxes,” you just voted for his property tax hike of nearly $3 million as estimated by the county treasurer.
Taxing our property is like taxing our savings, and it threatens financial security.
Seniors on fixed incomes are fighting to pay their property taxes.
Small businesses are bracing for more costly regulations from Annapolis.
We, the citizens of Harford County, are not ATM machines for politicians to endlessly drain.
Don’t vote for property tax rates in excess of constant yield.
Have some respect for our economy and for our freedom.
Don’t vote for ANY increased tax money grabs EVER AGAIN.
That’s what “holding the line on taxes” is supposed to mean.
Instead, start working on a Harford County budget that does not seize more tax dollars from the citizens of our community. We cannot afford it!
